BUONO（ブォーノ） — Restaurant in Aomori

Excellent Italian restaurant! House made pasta, good house wine, huge tasty appetizers. My hubby and I travel all over, including Italy. And now Japan!

This restaurant completely exceeded expectations. First arriving, they were brusque, sending us to a table. But they were kind to us non-Japanese. We ordered a salad and the eggplant with mozzarella appetizer. Both were huge. I'd recommend a negotiation with your dinner partner to select just one. Both were delicious!

My main was shungiku ravioli with mushroom cream sauce. This was the best ravioli I have ever had! Hubby had fettuccine with pork ragu. He said only good things about it.

There's a good selection of wines by the bottle and the house wines are good too. They're generous with the pours and the prices are very reasonable.

It may be a while before we come back to Aomori but we will be back to...

A nice little place, with an Italian feel to it. The food was very tasty and nicely presented. The house wine was also nice. I had the fish of the day, which was Masu with mushroom sauce and asparagus. My fiancee went for a pizza, and it was very tasty as well. A very pleasant evening after a long walk...

せっかく旅先で食すのだからいつもと違うオリジナリティのあるものを、と桜肉のカルパッチョを指名したところ欠品で牛へ変更。肉のモッチリ感とソースのモッチリ感で濃厚！美味しかったです。 しかし蟹ボナーラと命名された蟹肉のカルボナーラソースは塩辛かった。茹で塩のほかに冷凍蟹の塩分が加わってしまったのでは？惜しむらくは繊細な蟹の旨味をベーコンの強いクセで殺してしまっているところ。ベーコンはいらなかったな。カニは素直に甘めのクリームソースの方が良かった、と勝手に想像しました。 デザートのクラシックショコラケーキ、ほろ苦くまろやかなコーヒーは大変美味しかったです。

接客はお電話でも店頭でも大変感じが良かった。 なのに、入店した時に席に通されただけでコートも荷物もどこに置いたらいいのか案内がなく、初めての店で、勝手に奥まった場所のハンガーや荷物籠を取り出して使うのは勇気が入りました。 さらにカウンター席からは見えなかった、後ろの黒板のオススメの案内がなかったので、もしかしたらメニュー表以外にもオーダーしたいものがあったかも…残念。 着席した段階で放って置かれてしまいましたが、メニューに書かれたもの以外にもオススメがあること、「本日のパスタ」の説明、デザートの種類(メニューにはジェラートとしか書かれていません)など、伝えてほしかったです。
