-CAFE 2WAY-
How could you possibly gain prestige and respect for your culinary skills when the simplest attribute such as service is lacking?? In the big aspects of how this cafe is ran, the general service from everyone is great. They were trained well and have the proper knowledge. Don’t get me wrong. Everyone behind the bar was great. The main problem is centered at a certain employee. The lady at the cashier was very nice and did not overstep the boundaries. She even looked like she felt bad. However the lady walking around in the front was absolutely NOT fit to be serving customers.
To start off, my father and mother had already bought items. The minute they stepped in, my father was already in the process of ordering something. When our mother called my brother and I to enter the cafe and sit down, this lady immediately started pestering her about buying something to drink, in order to sit down. We can only assume because she kept repeating herself in Japanese with key words in English such as drink and table. Over and over. My mother kindly obliged and went to buy the food with our father. Once they were served and settled in their seats. The lady went up to us, sitting next to them at the other table, and told us the same thing. So we got up and bought a pastry. Not enjoying her service we changed our mind and told the cashier to make it to-go. The lady saw this and kept saying the same thing. Repeating herself, non-stop, and very annoyingly too. It just made her seem pushy and rude. Finally our mother had enough. Rightfully so, she told her that we’d never come here again and that her service was horrible. It was probably a language barrier to some degree but the lady knew. She knew that we were agitated and annoyed by how pushy she was. She had no regard to the customer’s feelings and needs. Absolutely horrible. How can you treat customers like that.
The atmosphere projected elegance and extraordinary quality but that lady was quite the opposite. Whoever hired her made a big mistake. She tainted this establishment’s reputation. It is a shame too because the pastries and coffee was...

Me and a partner came for lunch and had the white fish and beef stew lunch special.
I think you should be dressed properly if you're going to come here, it's pretty fancy. Steinway & Sons in the lobby 😯
Beef stew tasted bland at first but then as I finished the dish I felt it was perfect.
White fish was a bit bland. All dishes were cooked well.
Live piano music was nice, fancy atmosphere. I think this place would be great on a rainy day.
I'm not sure why wait staff never check on their guests in Japan, both of our waters went empty and we had to request our desserts. Maybe it's just the culture.
You can take some nice pictures here too
I didn't like how the meal total was laid out and audibly mentioned at the table, I'd rather have my tab enclosed and handed to me, that seemed out of character for a...

Instead, just speak in English. A male manager in the bar didn’t answer me when I asked him a seat in my poor Japanese. He just pointed chairs in front of the gate which seemed to be waiting seats, although there were many empty tables inside. We waited for minutes then asked him again in ENGLISH. Then finally he answered. He let us have table by the window. How great.
Our table server was lovely lady. She was kind and attentive.
Apple pie and Montblanc were good. Atmosphere of the café is classy...
