Absolutely delicious. The staff were extremely kind and accommodating. No English menu but English is sprinkled throughout the menus as in name of each dish. For translation of the ingredients for each item which were in Japanese, I just used Google Translator App.
I butcher grammar in Japanese but make my best effort to order in Japanese. The staff patiently took my order, even made substitutions on two items, and presented me with my food one after the other. I’d finish one and they’d pop up right behind me in time to serve the next. 10/10 to the staff.
I’m not one to take pictures of my food when dining in, and the food was begging to be photographed so I ate it all before I had the chance.
Atmosphere was warm, inviting and made me want to get some work done. I was only there for lunch but I could see myself chilling there and drawing while I enjoy a nice cold tea.
Sat at the window side table, recommended, this way passersby’s get to see the expressions of joy on your face as you slurp your noodles or break into the little green lawn looking pudding desert,...
Read morespent my valentine’s day here because it seemed to have a really nice vibe and wanted to eat at a place slightly more fancy. the menu is in english (and japanese of course), here’s what we ordered: • baked wheat bran with miso - very yummy, the miso is sweet and the wheat bran tastes like mochi • owani nature village cured ham - this was refreshing, i personally like cured ham and it is slightly saltier than most i’ve tried before • michinoku wagyu beef sirloin steak box - the meat was really delicious, portion size is quite big (my partner and i had to share this because we wanted to try more sides) • gâteau chocolat with aomori apple - i loved this so much, the apple was subtle yet so refreshing and paired so well with the chocolate.
service was really amazing, the server was really patient and kind as we struggled with ordering in japanese. would definitely...
Read moreAfter stumbling upon this place looking for somewhere to eat, I can safely say it's probably one of the best places for modern dining in Aomori.
I ordered the ramen which had a refreshing broth and a bounty of customisable toppings. The seasonal soba dish was also umami-rich. Best of all though was the Aomori apple tart that came at the end. I am quite partial to a cheeky apple pastry, though I think I could eat happily eat this every day for the rest of my life (๑•﹏•)
There is a great apple houjicha on the menu also which has a very unique taste and worth getting while in Aomori. Overall a strong...
