I went here because it was a recommended cafe in Aomori by some random blog on the internet. Sadly, this did not live up to expectation at all, especially given the price tag - a really terrible experience for me.
Cakes? Plain sweet. It is like any normal cake in supermarkets. Nothing special in the taste.
Drink? Typical coffee & tea. Ultra small portion.
Service? Extremely terrible. Waitress did things like slamming a cup of tea on the table in front of you, taking orders without confirming and ending up making a mistake, a long time to serve even not many customers at the time, selectively greeting customers. It felt like they clearly lacked training on services.
Atmosphere: Trying-to-be Viennese cafe? OK, Nice try.
I just regret wasting time...

It was my first time eating sachertort and it was very good - the amount of jam felt just right. Both deserts came with whipped cream - unsweetened, as it should be. I enjoyed the deserts so much that I came a second time, in which I took a mont blanc - which was also good.
P.S. Do note that even though the place opens at 10:00, their cafe only...
Read moreSurprise find of an Old European Coffee place in a remote Japanese town AOMORI that's generally filled with Japanese. The coffee has great European standard. The Coffee jelly with ice cream adds a superb Japanese touch, remember to add the syrup. The apple strudel is usually sold out by about 3-4pm and it is different from any other strudels that I've tasted both in Aomori and Europe. A great relax place for dessert, talks after meal or just writing...
