I recently dined at Ally's Okinawa in American Village, and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. We had made reservations for our group of 4 adults, 3 kids, and 1 baby, but upon arrival, our reservation could not be found, despite arriving right on time.
After eventually being seated, we had to stand and seek out a server after waiting for 15 minutes with no attention. Once our order was finally taken, the service was extremely slow, with each plate taking about 15 minutes to arrive. The kids were understandably upset, having to watch other diners eat while they continued to wait.
The menu, while small, proved to be quite misleading. We had to read it multiple times because several items were only available in limited quantities. The quality of the food was disappointing. The steak, described as high quality and cooked to a medium-well level, was served cold and barely cooked to a blue-rare temperature. The shrimp were flavorless and had a gummy texture. While the cute pancakes with ice cream teddy bears were a hit with the kids, it was not enough to salvage the meal.
Adding to the frustration, we were informed that the buffet was nearly finished and that the restaurant was closing, even though the advertised hours indicated there was still 1.5 hours left.
In summary, I would advise against visiting Ally's Okinawa. The service was poor, the food quality did not match its descriptions, and the overall experience was disappointing.
This restaurant does not reflect the amazing Okinawan cuisine that can be found just steps away from this unfortunate...
Read moreI was excited to try this spot. It’s located in a hotel next to American Village. Once we parked in the lot next door we took a brief walk and entered through the hotel lobby. We turned left and found the entrance to the restaurant. It looked as though you could get a salad buffet or pancakes. Since we were going to try the pancakes we asked for the pancake menu and were seated by the window. The restaurant wasn’t overly full but had plenty of people eating, chatting and having a good time. I ordered the tiramisu bear pancake covered in a blanket. My daughter tried the strawberry bear on bread. She tried the an iced tea and I gulped down two iced caramel lattes. I was surprised to find some fruit inside our adorable and tasty sleeping bears. I really enjoyed my pancake & my daughter liked hers as well. I would definitely come back and try some of the other dishes they have. I definitely recommend trying this page out. There’s not only something for everyone but plenty of space. I’m not sure if it’s ok the park in the hotel parking lot or not but there’s plenty of parking lots all around. We were there for about an hour and didn’t have to pay at the lot. Not sure if that changes during...

Spacious restaurant with a good selection of foods and desserts. I’ve read some comments about reservations but we walked right in, no waiting. There’s a buffet choice or a selection of individual dishes. There’s atmosphere has a variety of music but can’t be heard in every location of the restaurant. The Staff is friendly, we asked for drinks to be served before the meal. The meal came first and we had to ask 3 times before the second drink arrived. We were disappointed with the service.
The pancakes were more like bread than the traditional or fluffy soufflé type pancakes. The portion is not filling and you can’t add extra toppings or syrup. I requested extra benimo topping on the side with the strawberries and was told that’s not an option.
Overall: The teddy bear whip cream topping is what draws most customers here. Please travel to this restaurant and try it. I can recommend but can’t highly recommend it. I’m not sure if I’ll...
