Seaside Village Cafe — Restaurant in Chatan

Went during bar hours. Loud and generic, I'd say boring bar and more boring than it used to be. Bar staff favor regulars. Was ignored by two of the bartenders while they laughed at their phones. Sayaka (tip jars have pictures and names), who was standing further away took note and took my order after multiple attempts to hail the bar staff. This was my first time visiting in a year and there has been little change tot he overall service but it was better when visiting more often. Seaside Village Cafe is a great oceanside bar with great food. The atmosphere is nice and calm and is a great place for Japanese and Americans to mingle. The owner, Senna, speaks both English and Japanese and is open for events, dine-in, take out, or just drinking. He's friendly and funny and always available. This is an awesome Bar & Cafe! The bar staff is polite, English speaking, and the location is perfect. It's right by the beach and has an island feel! Perfect place to hang out with friends before or after the beach... Try the tiger sized butter shrimp with rice! I would sell my kids to be able to eat this all the time!
