After a great morning at the beach, we were really excited to try this place for lunch. We arrived at about 1:30 and stood awkwardly at the entrance waiting for someone to acknowledge us. No one did. Eventually we realized that the first floor is an unrelated coffee shop and Diego is on the second floor.
So we climbed the stairs where we saw one empty table, but the guy told us to go wait outside. Ok, I thought, he’s getting the table ready for us. We waited in the hot sun for 15 minutes before someone finally came down and told us that that empty table had already been reserved and that they weren’t sure if a table would open up before the last order at 2:30. Fine, but it would have been really nice if they’d told us that when we arrived.

Read moreWe stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant after a long walk from the train station, fresh off the train from Tokyo and still jet-lagged from Canada. We ordered a salad and a burger with fries, and wow, the food was absolutely delicious and arrived in under 10 minutes!
The atmosphere was just what we needed: relaxing music, a cozy table by a wide open window with a beautiful view of the river. It felt like the perfect escape.
