If you are used to the tasty Tokyo food, just avoid this place. First time in Japan I didnt feel like finishing my food. I had ika, hotate and hamagurijiru. Ika (squid): huge disappointment! I often have the same dish in Tokyo. No comparison whatsoever. Also be prepare to clean it. Hotate (scallops), hard to mess up hotate in butter but if you're used to the French version, please realize that you will either have to clean it yourself or eat the foot, the side skin and all that which we usually clean off AND that means that it will basically lose that soft and melty texture which makes them amazing in the first place. Hamagurijiru: not disgusting but that is it. Corn : yep, that's corn, it was tasty. I might be a little demanding in term of what I ear but even my easily satisfied friend was disappointed. Service and cleanliness...
Read moreThis is the worst experience in my Japan tour. It took 20 minutes to serve us the ramen while only took 2 minutes to serve us the set meal. We placed the order at 18:10, and the ramen was served at 18:26. We had to leave at 18:30 (the bus won't wait) when the ramen was finally served. The most ridiculous moment was when I simply wanted to pay the check and leave, and the server was trying his best to tell me that I have to pay for what I order in which I've already said I would pay for the whole thing. Oh, the server also pulled out the sign says "our food would take up to 20 minutes to prepare" in which we never knew when we placed the order. The thing is, we came in and placed order at 18:10, and 4 ramens were served to the people who came in...
Read moreWe ate here at the end of our day exploring Enoshima Island. There were tons of options for seafood here, we opted for the fried fish cake, sashimi, grilled fish, and fried mackerel. It came with soup and rice. Every part of the meal was delicious, we couldn’t pick a favorite dish. It was very affordable and had friendly service. We also got the grilled squid at one of their stands outside and wanted to note that even though their examples show the squid on a stick, it actually comes sliced up in a plastic container. This is not one of the restaurants eligible for a discount with the Enoshima day pass, but still definitely worth eating at! Delicious seafood at a...
