Tokado coffee is founded by Mr. NAOKI GOTO-the World roastery champion in 2013. Green coffee bean are carefully hand picked and roasted in different roast level. So coffee lovers have choice of various coffee from different origin of beans as well as roast level.

There is a counter table for dine-in. Menu is several choices of coffee only. Rest of the space for their goods for shopping. Also one staff is performing hand picking of green coffee beans everyday at the store.

To purely enjoy the coffee, there are rules to follow- don't worry rules are general ones such as no talk on phone, no PC works or studies, no outside food and drinks, no long time to use.

Coffee is hand dripped for only to your cup of coffee by profession barista. Coffee is served to you with beautiful cup and soucer and one Lotus biscuit is attached. And finally, the coffee card is placed at side of your coffee cup with description!

Here, please don't use like cafe in general. This is the place to just enjoy&respect coffee. All you need to do is to focus on fully savoring coffee ONLY. Coffee is all. Please enjoy its aroma, its taste, its time and all. Then, you will experience the supreme moments with coffee.

Always love this international award-winning brand in coffee bean roasting. While the original shop only offers take-out now, I came to this Hakata shop specifically for the sit-in experience, and it was well worth it. This time I chose the Nicaragua beans: the aroma was delicate and gorgeous, with a refreshing and clean citrus flavour. The soft sweetness in the aftertaste lingered beautifully in the mouth. The barista was professional and knowledgeable, adding to the overall experience. They also offer a great selection of high-quality beans. Tokado Coffee, located on the second basement floor of Hakata Riverain Mall, is a cafe run by Naoki Goto, who won the World Roastery Champion in 2013. 9 types of coffee beans, carefully selected one by one and roasted, are always on sale. The coffee bar is on the left side of the store, and coffee beans/drip bags and various coffee supplies are sold on the right side of the store.
