The cats were very sweet and it is a nice layout for the cats, plenty of surfaces for them to utilise including high up so they can climb, jump and observe.

The reason for three stars is only is the smell. Having cats myself and working with a cat rescue I know that cats do pee and if not cleaned straight away it will smell. The smell at this cafe was pretty strong.

I noticed that the staff spent quite a lot of time in the back room, leaving the cats and customers alone. This meant she did not see if a cat peed somewhere they shouldn’t (which actually happened). I guess this must happen a lot. Also, there was little oversight of the customers when the staff was in the back room, not everyone is experienced with cats and should be supervised.

There are drinks and snacks for customers as well as lockers to put personal items in.

Strongly suggest that the cafe owner purchase a black light to detect urine so they can do a deep clean and use it during the day to clean up any pee...

These are shelter cats and yea as per many reviews the urine smell is pretty bad for the back part of the room nearer to the toilet . I would like to believe that due to the volume of cats and maybe some cats prefer urine smell to calm themselves down(not sure about that) but I hope my perception is right if not leaving the urine smell on purpose would be a big test to any new customers.

When I visited, there were a few regulars and one of them an oji-san gave me a free pack of treat and ask me to help feed the cats. I thanked him and went to play with the cats. They are pretty chill except for a few anti socials which was quite a funny experience for me.

All in all It was a good experience for me and you are indirectly doing a good cause for these stray cats.

When I went there it really stank of cat urine. I was I several different cat cafe and I never had such a bad experience. For me this smell was really disturbing. And the Staff was also more in the Staff room then the guest room, maybe they dislike the smell too? The problem is that the cat toilets are in the same room were the guest and cats meet and they are not regularly cleaned it seems.You also have to order a drink and can order something to eat, but I could not imagine to eat something in this cat cafe. I felt sorry for the cats because they are very clean animal and probably also dislike the smell. I would not recommend...
