This review is solely on the service and not food as we didn’t get the chance to order anything. The service here was the worst we’ve experienced in Fukuoka and store operation was confusing and very disorganized. No direction and no staff guiding.
Arrived at 9:15 am and the line to order was already forming. We found an empty table so I sat down while my partner ordered food. 5 mins later another group approached me speaking in Japanese. Not knowing what they meant, I thought they wanted to share the table since there were 3 empty seats next to us. I moved over and welcomed them to sit next to us but then a staff came and in her broken English asked me to give up the table. She was stressed and didn’t want to deal with the situation. I couldn’t understand why she asked me to leave so I asked if there’s a waiting list and what’s the process of getting a table. I explained that we sat down first and my partner is in line to order food. Mind you, there were no instructions in the shop about the seating process nor was the table marked occupied when I sat down. It was an empty table.
After struggling to communicate, she asked another staff to speak with me. Although this staff’s English was a little better, I had a hard time understanding her. From what I got, I had to wait and line up to order. Which was what we did like everyone else. In the end, I had to give up the table that wasn’t marked reserved or had any belongings.
The whole experience left a bad taste and we left the queue to order and ditched the shop. By the time we left, the line to order was out the door.
This coffee shop was packed and operations was confusing. The overall atmosphere didn’t seem relaxing or enjoyable as it was crowded with locals and tourists. I’m happy to support...
Read morethis is very disappointing!!! I went there with my boyfriend because of his birthday. We checked their fridge and they did not have proper cake for birthday. we brought our cake and bought two cups of coffee. when we entered they saw our cake and i asked for two forks! they accepted! also I asked for a lighter and they accepted that as well… but when we were eating our cake, they came to us and said you can not eat that cake and you have to go! we were really surprised because i’ve been to that cafe couple of times before and this time they were so rude and forceful. they were talking with loud voice and no respect. they kept talking and made us leave hurridly. the other guy came to us and spoke english but very loud!!! i felt really insulted and that was very unprofessional. I was gonna have dinner there but I will never again go there. This was a special night for us and they ruined it. plus, i will tell people around me how unprofessional they are. as if they have not seen foreigners before… This was clearly a very unprofessional way of approaching your customers on a Saturday evening; especially when it is heavily raining.

Read moreI’m not someone who writes review often but this is truly frustrating. This happened on 10 Aug 1230pm. We are the first on the waiting list and the male server who was working at the time told us to wait outside at the bench, which was fine. We went to the waiting areas with the chairs and bench but he insisted we moved to the end sitting at the bench and squeezing our baby stroller through to reach the end. And there was no one in the queue in front of us. When two locals came, they came and sat at the chairs and were not insisted by the shop to sit at the bench at all. When I raised this to the guy, he was not apologetic and didn’t go out and ask the two locals to sit at the bench. And as I observed, subsequently all the guests who are waiting are sitting at the chairs and none were asked to sit at the bench. This unfortunately is sad for the coffee shop, as you have such a bad attitude employee who is probably discriminating which will affect your business. The management should consider speaking to him about...
