The food was priced well and the host was very accommodating since we did not have a reservation. We were granted 60 minutes to stay (by the host) but were cut off by the server only after about 25 minutes of ordering food which felt rushed compared to the allotted time, 60 minutes, which was more than enough if granted. We were sat at around 6:15 and told to have a last order at around 6:40 (around 25 minutes). I tried to be as accommodating as possible, rushing through my meal (to also be accommodating to the Host and the time he kindly gave us), ordering a quick set with “random”meats that we weren’t crazy about (the server was not able to let us know what meats we were ordering), and hoping to make the best out of my time since we were really craving Yakiniku, but the last order call was surprising. I also watched as tables were completely empty during this time. I ordered our food in Japanese and they did not have an English menu available. The service was not very friendly and when I left and said “Oyasuminasai” (Good night/Please rest), I was informed by my colleague that the servers laughed behind my back over the simple phrase… this upset me and I felt like this location may be unfriendly to travelers as I was leaving. I would’ve rather they didn’t accommodate us in the first place and were honest with the timing and treatment. I will definitely not be recommending this place or coming back… especially when Yakiniku is far and wide across Fukuoka. I added an extra star for the Host who has saved this place...
Read moreCraving for yakiniku and trying to look for a late night meal when come across this restaurant on Google search. The food is very very good especially the meats. But the atmosphere seem more catered toward Koreans. We’re foreigners came in but they didn’t offer to take our coats so we had to place d it underneath the chair, however other Koreans couples came in and they offered to hang up their coats and waited on them by hand and foot. After the meats was being put out and there were a clump of fat which your supposed to smear it on the grilled before placing the meat on them and no one came and help us to do that but I saw two others Korean couples were being catered to by two waitresses and being shown how to start their meals. Other reviews about this place was kinda true .. I’m not sure if it is discrimination or what but we did not feel fitting in. The restaurant is filled with all Korean patrons which is normal but please don’t make other foreigners that is not Korean feel out...
Read moreThe worst yakiniku experience I’ve had. The meat quality is okay but it tastes mediocre. The rice tastes like something from packaged rice. The worst part is the air quality control. This is the first time my eyes were hurting from all the smoke from the grill because the air flow is poorly controlled. Not only that, they put us into a small confined space even though we had small kids. This felt like a gas chamber training when I was in military. And the wallpaper. Oh the wallpaper. It’s all yellowish and dark from all the smoke and it’s peeling off somewhere. You don’t just put a plant in front of yellow wall from smoke and expect it to be stylish. Air control dude!! My eyes shouldn’t be hurting from the smoke. It’s the first time and I eat yakiniku almost every two weeks. Next time, don’t put customers with kids into confined space with poor...
