Hakone Cheese Terrace — Restaurant in Hakone

Decided to buy on impulse, but they only have the frozen Burnt Cheese cake left as it was near closing time. Oh…and this frozen cake needs 6 hr to thaw! The pretty counter girl was polite and could communicate in English. Cost ¥2400 Anyway as majority of the food shop closes early near Hotel Hakone, ( where i stay) decided to give this cake a try for tonight’s supper. Wow. What a pleasant surprise! This cheese cake while still cold is divine! Half ice cream and half cake. Flavour of rich cheese and milk and not sweet… exactly as what I like in a cheese cake but seldom manage to purchase. Outstanding shops in quaint towns are hard to come by. So whenever I encounter one, I definitely share my delightful experience with other people. That’s exactly what I felt for this shop right after getting my first taste of their creamy cheese soft cream and strawberry cheese lassi. The cheese was so heavenly it made me think that the deities of Hakone must be helping them out in the kitchen! Kidding aside, I highly recommend dropping by their shop after visiting...
