Holy Smokes — Restaurant in Hakuba

(USING MY HUSBANDS ACCOUNT) My friend and I were having drinks here (and a relatively good time) until we were physically pushed out the door by the un-uniformed security guard who was drinking in the corner with his friends. We had hung out jackets on the jacket rack when a guy said we couldn’t to which we asked why. He responded saying “because I said so, I’m the security here. We didn’t believe him because he was in plain clothes and drinking. We said we could hang our jackets there and had them hanging there earlier. He then proceeded to push us up the stairs and out the door. My friend smacked her head on the frame. Being two females, it was all so unnecessary and aggressive. To think we were man handled over hanging our jackets. It was disgusting and upsetting.

Arrived early with a group of 7. The bar was getting crowded but we managed to sit at a table in the back. One more person decided to join us but could not find the bar. I went to pick her outside and by the time we got back to the bar (10min later) several people were starting queuing outside. We told the person at the entrance that our group was inside seated at a table, but we were denied entry. One of our friends already inside came to the entrance to help get us back in, but we were still denied entry. Luckily they didn't order drinks for us at least. The concept of the bar is great, but the customer service is extremely bad. And the previous comment the owner left to this review "wet blanket" ...

We came here because the concept of the bar and the vendor machine photo looks interesting to us, but we are very disappointed by the drinks. The menu is very limited, and the three drinks we got (3 of us) are very meh.

We have been to the refrigerator bar at Niseko, Hokkaido, and that's also why we wanted to visit Holy smokes as a comparison...have to say, the refrigerator bar in Niseko is A+, and this place gets a C.

The staff is friendly for sure, but we came for drinks. Hope you find this review as a fair comparison to all other...
