Ever since I was here last April (2023) I wanted to leave a review, sorry I'm late. We walked around after spending a day in Hiroshima and just wanted to grab a bite and a drink near the station before departure.
We were greeted a little shyly. They let us know that there were only menus in Japanese, but with the basic Japanese I know and a handy app we sat down at the bar. It felt pretty cozy. Later on I might think the menu was a little bit in their own defense or to prevent customers discomfort, as other people came in much later and they said it more pressingly. I'm still assuming they meant it well because they were all smiles. They even used a translator themselves to make sure we understood their offer of a different dessert. Overall I could feel their discomfort (with the language) at times. So I apologized before leaving if they might have experienced any inconvenience having us (in Japanese). The very friendly waitress said it wasn't a problem. I think we were all shy collectively haha. From our perspective, we ate and drank well so no worries.
