Quant counter and table space in busy Hiroshima Station. Great service, friendly and efficient.
Ordering system is a bit tricky/glitchy. You snap a pic of a QR code and then order from their website (English website too)-they get the order instantly-when it works. It didn't work using the native browser on my Pixel 6, but worked (with a lot of refreshing) on Chrome.
I ordered three dishes and draft beers: Gyoza with green onions, Hiroshima oyster spring rolls, and vegetable gyoza. Don't bother with the vegetable gyoza. They didn't taste like much of anything except the gyoza wrapper, ponzu, and the leftover green onions from the excellent green onion gyozas. Those are fabulous! The oyster spring rolls were tasty. You pretty much only taste the oysters and they were great.
Young friendly staff that works hard and aims to please. With so many choices in the new station, I spent a lot of time circling around, upstairs, downstairs, round in circles...I finally landed here and glad I did. Prices are average-not outrageous, not dirt cheap - fair for the value, Id say.. Food and service are...
Read moreLocated in Hiroshima Station inside the ekie store on the 2F level near the ekie Bar . One of many restaurants inside the ekie. The service staff was friendly. The ordering is done on a tablet, which is convenient if you want to order additional drinks and food (English menu is available on tablet) I got the Gyoza beer which was good, very smooth, drinkable, light-bodied, and hops forward. I also got the Hiroshima Gyoza covered in spring onion and the fried oysters. The gyoza were good with a little crispy on the outside, which was tasty. There is also chili garlic oil and ginger sauce at the table. The best part was the oyster - plump and meaty with a light, crisp breading on them. I should have got a 2nd order of oysters... overall a good experience. I...
Read moreAfter a long day trip out of Hiroshima we decided to check out the Ekie Dining precinct within Hiroshima Station for dinner. It was very busy however we were lucky to find a spot at Hiroshima Gyoza.
We were greeted by a friendly team member on our arrival who cleared a table for us within 5 minutes. An English menu was available, and was welcomed after an exhausting day! The selection of horse meat was a tempting curiosity, but we opted for the Fried Gyoza, Hiroshima Gyoza, and Hiroshima Ramen.
Food was served very promptly, and was hot and fragrant. All dishes were extremely flavoursome, indeed, we ordered more Fried Gyoza as the salt seasoning paired with the outer crispiness made this dish an...
