Wanted to find out what Hiroshima's oysters were about and chanced about this humble establishment housed in the food arcade in the first level of Ekie departmental store at Hiroshima train station.
We had the Gustatory box where there were three types of meat; Oysters, Conger Eel and Steak. All the meats were great with the oyster standing out as plum and not 'metallic' as some tend to be. The other was the set which had the Oyster Dote-nabe as the highlight - it was a miso based broth with oysters and assorted vegetables. Rich, creamy and very generous in the ingredients.
