I have been 2 times in Japan, 1 month each time, and I can confidently say it was the best bar I have been there.
The owner is an extremely nice person who knows how to make you comfortable. He knows very well his products and with only a few words about my preferred Whiskeys, he proposed to me 3-5 completely new that I never heard about (but that are now on my favourite list as well).
The establishment is extremely clean, well located and I will say this: this is the first whisky bar in Japan where they don't run elevator jazz music. Instead you gotta enjoy 70-80s Japanese pop music which is amazing to put you in a good mood and give you energy.
My wife and I didn't see the time pass, we just had an extremely good time talking with the owner and discovering amazing products from Japan. His sheer generosity and passion towards the realm of whiskey were the perks of our visit, and we will make sure nobody from our friends who visit Hiroshima will miss an evening there.
Thanks...
Read moreWe had such an incredible night at Bar Yoh! Honestly, we would’ve never found this place if it weren’t for a local we were having dinner with—he said he knew the best whiskey spot in Hiroshima, and he wasn’t lying. Hiroshi, the owner, is so welcoming and knowledgeable. We’re from Canada, and he even served us some Canadian whiskey, which was such a nice touch. The selection of Japanese whiskey is next level, and Hiroshi really knows his stuff. Plus, he speaks great English, so we had some awesome conversations about the drinks and distilleries. The bar itself is cozy and has such a great vibe. If you’re in Hiroshima and love whiskey, this is the spot to go. We’ll definitely be...

I was visiting Japan for 10 days and was in search for a Japanese whiskey experience. This was very difficult given the Japanese natives' propensity to consume their whiskeys mixed in high balls. We found this gem on Google Maps and was blown away at how kind the owner Hiroshi You was! He talked me through all the different Japanese whiskeys and gave very generous pours of rare drinks like Nikka 17 and Perfume of Islay 31 (wow!!!). This place is super affordable as well! We definitely got our share of whiskey for 3 people.
If I have the opportunity to come back to Hiroshima, I will definitely stop by...
