We were desperate for some tasty ramen and short on time. We found this tiny place run by a delightful man on his own in the most “rustic” of all kitchenettes all prepared in full sight as you sit at a bar with only about 6 seats. The chef cooks and moves like he’s dancing! He blow torched our slice of pork to give them a BBQ finish. The ramen was so good I couldn’t believe it. The stock was light but full of flavour. The Gyozas were also perfect. I can’t recommend this little place enough. If the Japanese accepted tips, I would have 100% given him a big one. Came as a couple and oddly enough we were alone in the restaurant during our entire meal. And it truly shows that they have mastered the art of Hiroshima style ramen over the course of 3 generations. They had a simple menu with many of the items with English translation. I ordered the Chinese dumpling ramen while my husband ordered the special ramen. It was quick, delicious, and like a hug.
