Came to know about this place through its high ratings on Tabelog. Its a restaurant selling lunch box and onigiri for take away or dine in. I got the #1 lunch box for 1 day and next day got the #2 lunch box. Wholesome ingredients with good quality and quantity of meat, vegetables, pickles and very flavourful like home cooked made food. The meat was juicy and tender. The onigiri has fillings too; plum, seaweed and pickled vegetables. No wonder its got high ratings and is a popular Hiroshima home brand

広島人の御用達と言えば、お好み焼きチェーンの「徳川」とおむすびの「むさし」(※異論は認めます)！という事で、やはり広島に来たからには食べてみたくなるのが観光客の悲しい性(^^)。広島駅ビルekieの1Fにあるイートインショップで『若鶏むすび(¥880)』をテイクアウトして宿泊先で頂きました。 おむすびの具材は昆布と梅。なんて慎ましいんでしょう(^^)。お米は水分量が多く柔らかめ。そのお米が全く見えないくらいに、しっとりとした海苔が周りを覆っています。 自慢の鶏の唐揚げは大きめなものが3つも入っており、食べ応え十分。濃い目の味付けで凄く美味しいのですが、いかんせん固い(^^)。もう少し柔らかいと食べやすいのですが....。 残りのおかずはソーセージ、枝豆、キャベツ、オレンジ、沢庵という非常に不思議な組み合わせ(--;)。それぞれしっかりと旨いなぁ。でも、キャベツだけはいらんかのう(^^)。 包み紙の裏側は広島県内の地図が描かれており、方言講座まであって楽しく広島文化を学ぶ事が出来ます。何気にふと栄養表示を表記を見ると、何と981kcal。おむすびとはいえ、なかなかのハイカロリーですので食べ過ぎ注意ですね(--;)。

Ok. I'm gonna say it out loud. Not a fan. I still don't get why everyone in Hiroshima is crazy about this. I've had the 若鳥むすび twice and as unappetising as it sounds, the experience is even more so. The musubi/onigiri is okay but not only is the star - the karaage(one of my favourite Japanese dishes) bland, it's hard, I mean HARD. The meat has no juice and overall makes it very difficult to swallow the food. Do not eat this without a drink to wash it down or you'll choke. It was a long...
