Absolutely perfect experience. This beautiful kissaten is salon style, with a reception desk on the left, stairs ahead, and when we visited - an exhibition on the right hand side. The cafe part is beyond the stairs, overlooking a tranquil garden. It’s beautifully quiet. The proprietor was very patient with our using of Google translate! The coffee was very nice and the hot toast (egg, seaweed and maybe cheese?) sandwich was excellent with freshly made egg to order. This is a slow experience so come and take your time. One of our favourite experiences in Japan.
