Ishiguro — Restaurant in Kanazawa

This little gem of a restaurant completely stole my heart. The owners, a lovely couple, welcomed me and my husband with such kindness that I instantly felt at home. Even though they only speak Japanese, they made every effort to communicate using Google Translate — and somehow, that made the experience even more charming and personal.

The food? Absolutely outstanding. Every dish was prepared with care and bursting with flavor. You can tell they put their hearts into everything they serve.

This restaurant was excellent. The couple who own it were very nice and the quality was excellent.

It is omakase so they just serve and you don't make choices other than they did ask at the beginning if we had any allergies or food we didn't eat.

We stumbled upon Ishiguro by chance while walking around and decided to give it a try after seeing the great reviews. It’s a cosy place run by an elderly couple with counter seats and private rooms. The lady was so lovely, she doesn’t speak much English but did her best to explain the menu using Google Translate, which we really appreciated. We had about 7 courses and the food was delicious & comforting :)
