Very authentic miso ramen with thick broth. Noodles are al dente. You can request to change the texture of the noodle and also the thickness of the soup. For those who are more used to lighter taste, I would suggest you request for less salt and oil. I am fine with the default setting which is very delicious!
Service is great. Staff are polite.
There are English instructions next to the ticket machine. That makes the purchase experience hassle free.
Do take note that they accept cash only. The machine is capable to give change so it’s okay to use 1000-yen notes.
Location is good. It’s actually next to a laundromat. Our strategy was to start our washing, come here for dinner and the timing is about right to collect the laundry after the meal. :)
Recommendation: get the “zenbu” all-in option which cost you only 1800 yen for extra chashu, egg and more...
Read moreIn God's own ramen country, it's darned near impossible differentiating the good from the great. Which brings me to this little 2 man show a short walk from the train station. Can't quite say it's great with a capital G but it's good .... satisfyingly good. We had the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen and the Wagyu Shoyu Ramen. The broth is thicker and more reduced than you might expect, almost a gravy like viscosity. You get to choose how well done the noodle is, and medium was about right for us - slightly al dente. Both the chashu and wagyu strips were more than ample and cooked nicely. Add a little pepper and some of the raw ground garlic for taste and you get Satisfaction with a capital S ! Would have given the full 5 stars but we were divided on whether the broth was too salty,a minor gripe and one that is admittedly more about...
Read moreExcellent place. Found this place at lunchtime having found most eateries either closed or with a long queue outside them. I saw that this place had a ticketing system which I initially was concerned would be difficult and all in Japanese, but gave it a try and found it easy. There is English on the machine which shows what there is and how much yen each costs. I chose the Wagyu beef option and fed in the yen (notes as I don’t think credit cards are accepted). I then gave my ticket at the counter. They clarified with me how I wanted it (soy sauce with medium texture etc). I soon had the food at my bar table. It was delicious! The beef the noodles and especially the broth! I usually think people exaggerate how nice the broth is, but on this occasion it was totemo oishi. Definitely...
