Ichinoya is a famous Unagi restaurant in Kawagoe. We came all the way from Tokyo one day to have try it, as a friend of mine lives in Saitama so it was convenient for him to meet us. The ambiance is like you are in someone’s family home, and the walls are decorated with the autographs of all the famous Japanese celebrities who have visited. The unagi was very good, albeit a little pricey (about 4000-6000 depending on how many pieces you want). Had a bone in my unagi that stuck into my gum which was unpleasant. Other than that, the unagi was really soft.. wont really feel the bones (unless it pierced into your gum). The tamago was really nice. Surprisingly i find the rice was really tasty. Haha.
