Fantastic experience at this store! My partner and I were looking to spend a day in Kawagoe dressed in Kimono. She had some specific style she wanted to wear and we went with Wargo. We looked at several different shops in prior online, and felt their website was the most straightforward to navigate with a reasonable price.

The process was overall very fun. Aya at the shop took us through the walls of kimono, explaining the differences of each style. She was very attentive and answered all of our questions with ease. Once we were done picking, Tezu went to dress us up. You could just tell from the way she moved that she’s a pro.

Thanks to these two wonderful ladies, my partner and I were able to stroll around the Little Edo in style. When we returned to the shop we even had a nice chat with them. They’re incredibly personable and could tell they cared about what they do. These aren’t just people pumping out one sale from from next. They really want you to have a good time and were happy to see the photos we took. It was a wonderful yukata try-on experience. The shop has a huge selection of kimonos, yukatas, obi belts, bags, geta and so on, therefore you can pick and choose your favorite colors and patterns. Sue san who dressed us up and explained all the details was very kind and accommodating. We also got simple up-dos for our hair to compliment the look. I have worn yukata before but this was the first time wearing it with so many additional accessories and details. Fun Kimono Styling and Wear at Wargo. One thing that stood out for me when I arrived at the rental shop was the warm welcome by Aya and Tezu, the clean and spacious space and their wide selection of Kimonos, Obi, bags and sandals. Aside from the fun styling the staff at Wargo helped and recommended the style and color combination according to my preferences.
