凹凸Tacos — Restaurant in Kumamoto

I really wanted some tacos but the other places don’t open until 6:00pm. Thought it was pricey but the dude hand makes the corn tortillas so I can’t complain at all.

Mexicana style was just as I remember in the states: light, bright, citrusy, and savory. It also means the home made pico de gallo hits the tongue right too.

There are options with a Japanese twist and they were also top notch with more emphasis on savory.

And the tortilla chips are made in front of you. Could have the oil temp a little higher for a better puff but I’m not complaining. I really wanted some Mexican food.

The guy who worked there also has been to the states so it’s fun to talk...

100% recommended. We had a great time. Awesome corn tacos! And the enchiladas are also highly recommended. Small and cosy, Friendly owner who prepares the food behind the bar while he chats with you. Located in a great little street up some stairs really adding to the ambience. Food was so good I forgot to take pictures of it. But I took some pictures of the entrance to help...

Coming from Texas we have high expectations for tacos and this place did not disappoint! Not just some of the best food we've had in Japan but some of the best tacos we've ever had. The homemade salsa and tortilla chips are a 10 out of 10. The owner was incredible friendly and the environment and style was unique...
