お食事処 暖 — Restaurant in Kusatsu

Overall food at Kasatsu is at least 1000yen, less than 1000yen will be original ramen/plaint ramen. Here, we ordered cha siu ramen 1100, curry pork cutlet 1800 and drink 600, price included tax. They served us free plain water once we seated, I know most of the Japan restaurant serve cold water, but bcoz the weather was very very cold, I still prefer hot water. My family got the window seat looking into the square with the boiling sulphuric waters. We had the signature pork cutlet dish which was very tasty and flavoursome. The outlook and the beer and pork cutlets were akin to a visitation from the Holy Trinity in the biblical sense. I topped it off with a loud obligatory Japanese slurp from my Miso soup to show appreciation.... I am sure I blended in...

I ordered the veggies special. The picture shows lots of veggies and mushrooms, but i only had one and a half tiny piece of mushroom and no fresh veggies at all. The soup was not hot enough to begin with, and the half cooked egg just made the soup mushy and cool down the broth even more. My husband ordered the ginger pork. The meat was a little tough.
