very sad about this shop now, I am living in Kyoto, then I frequently go to this shop and actually I didn’t buy a lot, however maybe the shop owner considers me as a Chinese Buyer ( the word? 代购），.he said me to I go to his shop too many times and please come once a month. I feel so offended about this.. If you don’t like customers took photos of your products, just make a sign, and if you don’t like customers buy to many, just write a notice …. I think I won’t visit this shop anymore.

Despite being in Japan I still find it difficult to find authentic wabi-sabi ceramics made by artisans. Most of what you find accross Japan are industrial pieces made to look like handmade but its provenience can be spot miles away if you look carefully.
