Daniel’s Sole — Restaurant in Kyoto

AVOID. This is one of the worst places you can visit in Kyoto. From cooks to managers to waitresses, no one cares about the client. Besides the fact that they let their friends in first, even though our 40 minute wait outside, they seat us with an unwelcoming attitude and then made a mistake and sent our food to another table. They were so absolutely inefficient that they wouldn't notice until we explained their mistake to them, so we got served after a 20 minute wait. The other clients that had our food were so embarrassed, they left immediately and couldn't enjoy their food (our food) We talked to the manager, he wouldn't apologize or mention other words but "Got it" Their arrogance was incredible. The food was mediocre to the point of being of the same quality as what you get at a cheap family restaurant, or even of lower quality and taste. I recommend you to avoid this place and spend more money on a good restaurant so you can have good...

Second Update: I went to this place 3 times already, and all of them were different. This time we ordered 2 different pizzas and they were not good at all (Do you have different chefs, or was he in a bad mood?). So I do not know what to expect next time, and this is not good thing if you want to have a regular customers. This time not more than 3 stars.

Update: I visited this restaurant 2 months after my review, and was nicely surprised. It looked like they put more cheese on our pizzas this time :) Great to see that they respond to the costumers comments! 5 stars!

Pretty chill spot right off the Nishiki market strip for beers. Didn't have any food so couldn't really comment on that but for one thing, it smelled great! The beers though were fantastic! Extremely happy they served big boy sizes. And competitively priced too! You are looking around ¥850 for 1L (1000mL). Excellent deal and ice cold beers. Service can be a bit slow though but who can blame them? The place is poppin...
