Absolutely delicious. It's a delightful café and delicatessen with a salad bar offering a wide variety of sandwiches, quiche, meats, pastries, and cakes. This place is a balm in Kyoto when surrounded by the same boring choices of MSG laden food that the average consumer seemingly goes for. I am so grateful to have found this enjoyable location. For the quality, it is absolutely worth the price. After living in Kyoto for two years, I have finally found a place on par with the quality of food and variety I expect in Los Angeles, New York, London, and Paris....

Auf der Suche nach einem gemütlichen Café bin ich hier zufällig gelandet – und wurde positiv überrascht. Schon von außen wirkt das Café modern und einladend, und dieser Eindruck setzt sich im Inneren fort. Besonders beeindruckend: Die Location scheint eine ehemalige Bank zu sein, denn eine große, geöffnete Tresortür prägt den Sitzbereich – ein echter Hingucker! Der Tresor selbst dient nun offenbar als Lager.

Auch die Qualität überzeugt: Sowohl der Filterkaffee als auch der Cappuccino waren ausgezeichnet. Das Beste daran? Trotz der zentralen Lage und des gehobenen Ambientes sind die Preise spürbar günstiger als in vielen anderen Cafés der Umgebung – ein großes Lob dafür!

Neben Kaffee gibt es eine gut bestückte Theke mit süßem und herzhaftem Gebäck sowie verschiedenen Speisen. Außerdem bietet das Café eine Auswahl an hochwertigem Geschirr, Gewürzen und mehr – perfekt für stilvolle Geschenke. Eine tolle Adresse für Genießer oder für alle, die noch ein wenig Feinsinn entwickeln möchten (kleiner Scherz am Rande).

We ordered a hot hojicha latte and an iced one. In both of them you could barely tell there was any hojicha in it. Based on the color, it was basically just a milk latte. I asked if they could add more hojicha to it and they just said no. They either don’t know how to make a hojicha latte or they’re trying to cut costs by skimping on...
