Dining Bar コモゴモ — Restaurant in Kyoto

A friend and I recently went to Kyoto for a few days during our first trip across Japan. This bar ended our night all three of the days in town. We had an absolutely amazing time meeting people here, and getting to know the flow of the neighborhood and of the City of Kyoto. The owner was a wonderful and friendly man that brought us along and included us, making us feel welcome and at home. His warmth flows through the bar and defines its atmosphere. He displays curiosity and love for the world around him, and was interested in our world and our impression of Japan. On top of that, he was very kind and friendly, and spoke a good amount of English and was able to make a good connection with us. We actually ended up becoming fast friends over the few days of our stay and he and a friend of his took us out for ramen lunch at one of their favorite spots, and recommended places to go that were consistently top quality. I highly recommend and encourage all travelers to Kyoto to go to this izakaya, and enjoy the hell...

We went during “happy hour” and was charged the normal price for cocktails. The guy also charged us way more than the menu price after realizing we were “Americans”. Food is not very good and and the drinks are very weak (i also don’t think he put any alcohol in the cocktails) money better...
