FRIANDISE — Restaurant in Kyoto

Our family stayed nearby, and this is my first breakfast option upon waking up from "Tabist", just a few steps away. The ham (maybe loin) croissant here was just too good for this bacon + croissant lover.

The flakiness, layered, and aromatic offerings sent me somewhere I've never been. It's wonderful what the Japanese can do with this French concept.

Simply sublime! We hit this bakery every morning that we were in Kyoto and it was just the best way to start our days.

The name tags for the baked goods are not in English but we used the Google Translate camera function and were able to translate most name cards to English. The staff are very kind and happy to help you out.

Would definitely recommend these cheese tarts and their puff pastry...
