I had a terrible experience when I took my foreign friend to this restaurant. As a Japanese, I would not recommend this restaurant because of the owner's bad language in Japanese, such as “You have no manners”, which is not understandable to foreigners! This is despite the fact that it was her first time using chopsticks!
And the customer service attitude is always exclusive and he stares at her with a angry face just because she tried to take picture. It felt like he was discriminating against foreigners.

The chef and staff has demonstrate top notch hospitality and culinary skills. He is able to pull off a full course meal under certain dietary restriction right on his foot.
I would recommend any tourist or foreign visitor to pay them a visit when you arrived Kyoto. You will not be disappointed.
