I have worked in food and beverage hospitality for more than ten years and came here with an open mind to enjoy wine and food after being recommended to come here from a colleague in food and beverage. We were told it was full but came took a chance that maybe they could seat us. We actually ran into another co worker there and luckily a table opened up.
Upon ordering, the wine was fine, no problems there. But when ordering food, many of their food items have cheese in them and I don’t eat cheese. They were very unwilling to make any concessions to the menu even though, being in F&B and this being a casual a la crate restaurant, usually it’s not so difficult to for example in a salad put cheese on the side. Due to their own arrogance, they were unwilling to make any simple changes. I then gave up finding any items to eat but the people I was with were feeling a bit frustrated at that situation and kept asking if each dish had cheese. Finally they took cheese out of a dish (easily) I may add. It was a salad made a la minute where you could easily take the cheese out.
After that you could feel the hospitality lacking, as they started to drink wine and do dishes and not make the other dishes we had ordered. It was an obvious change and lack of care in service.
I’m service and I always try really hard to give our guests what they want, of course within reason but I never try to make the guests feel a way where they think they are burdening me.
The food tasted fine from what I was able to eat, but I can’t say I have a well rounded opinion.
Not a professional spot. I think if you go with “their program” then it’s fine. If you have any issues with dairy, I’d eat...

I came too late to try their main dishes but had a small cheese and charcuterie plate and had 3 glasses of natural wine from Alsace (2 whites and one orange). All very good but the space and environment are the charm. There was a man with a set of records putting on great music, the host was very nice (despite him not really speaking English and me not Japanese). No wine list so either you opt for the bottles they opened or you tell them what you like and they can bring out bottle options. Biggest note — it’s is cash only!! I was so embarrassed as I didn’t realize this and didn’t have enough cash on me. They were so nice and another guest covered my missing money but I was mortified so...
