We stumbled upon this charming café in Kyoto and it quickly became one of the highlights of our trip. They bake all their pastries and bread in-house, and everything, sweet and savory, was absolutely incredible. After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we explored the tourist sites but couldn’t stop thinking about it. On our way back, we returned and literally grabbed everything they had left for the ride home.

The coffee was just as impressive, smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. The service was wonderful too, kind, welcoming, and they spoke enough English to help us through our order with no problem.

A must-visit spot if you’re in Kyoto. We’re still dreaming about...

One of my favourite bakeries in the world! Great selection, including seasonal items (e.g. chestnut recipes in autumn). We had the melon bun and a basil sausage bun. Both were delicious, but very well balanced. The dough was light and fluffy on the bun, and flavour was delicate and subtle. The sausage was delicious, tasted handmade and fresh. We also had hot latte and it was done to perfection. Right Temperature of the milk, perfect with many small even bubbles, and the coffee tasted just right. No sign of acidity in the coffee, and the coffee flavour came...

This is social enterprise but the bread and sandwiches are professionally baked. Much of it is self-serviced so that you could toast the bread 🍞 and eat inside. The atmosphere is cheerful with many contributions from local primary students. Highly recommended if you want to escape from the touristic eateries in the Arashiyama area and support a good cause. You will be surprised by how reasonable the price is. Perfect for breakfast, light lunch and...

Opens earlier than other places, delicious pastries and baked goods at a very reasonable price, considering the location! About 100-200¥ per piece depending on size/type. The cheesy ham bread and croissants were especially good, but everything was amazing! My boyfriend and I ordered about twelve things between us because we wanted to try everything 😂 Card accepted here, non-barista coffee is about 210¥. Go here if you need a snack or brekkie for sure!
