First of all, this restaurant has delicious food and is a great place to drink and eat venison delicacies...a rarity in Japan. I took my family here to see a culture in Japan off the typical tourist path. We really loved the venison steak, and you must try the smoked deer sausage...the best I have ever had. This restaurant also supports a responsible sustainable solution for deer meat - a resource in Japan where 90% is typically wasted; this restaurant ensures that thousands of pounds of deer meat are not wasted every year. This place is friendly, welcoming, and supports an environmentally...

A taste of mother nature. They have venison steak and venison pate, which are both locally caught and super yummy! The restaurant is near Kyoto station, and the space is like a nice and cozy mountain lodge.

The venison steak is so tender and juicy. It has a mild and delicate flavor, not gamey at all. They give us a steak with tasty sauces, mashed potatoes, and salad. The venison pate is also amazing, smooth, and creamy, with some herbs and spices. It was a great combination with locally brewed beer!!

The staff is friendly and helpful. I would totally go back to this restaurant and...

So near my hotel yet I only manage to try on my last couple of days. Small and cozy place with around 10 tables and the place is clean with nice ambience.

The food here is good especially the venison which is super soft and taste like beef. Menu says it's from hunters.

The venison sausage is also a must try with the beer they offer. Also had smoke scallop which is the best I had and other orders like fried shrimp with fries also perfect with beer.

The can beer offered here are also of good...

I was curious about the venison dish, and it was the best! I’d been a lot of Michelin restaurants in the world, and this small but astonishing restaurant should be reviewed by them (and sure to earn 5 stars). Although I don’t speak Japanese, owners were so kind and presented the best and healthiest 5 dishes including steamed veggie, Korean pancake, octopus, cheesecake and Venison steak. I hope owners open franchises in the US and Korea~
