Big menu board on the main street and dine in area on 2nd floor. Restaurant staff would guide you to the restaurant.

It gives the vibe of food court or cafeteria. Spacious so I did not feel suffocated due to overcrowd during peak time when compared to other restaurants.

Orders: • set menu (¥1,200) ramen with salt based soup & small bowl of rice with minced tuna and tuna sashimi • set menu (¥1,200) ramen with salt based soup & small bowl of pork cutlet with rice • sweet egg rolls • fried chicken

Stopped by this location as my partner wanted to have eel, and only came across the google reviews later.

Service was quick, wait staff was friendly and food came quickly, and also to mention that there weren’t the huge queues that you’d usually expect in a touristy area like Arashiyama.

Food was definitely not as bad as other reviews put it to be, and the portions (I ordered the pork cutlet, and it was really good!) were rather large as well.

Food was alright. Does not taste bad, but nothing remarkable. The fried chicken tastes a bit like McDonald’s and the tuna rice bowl doesn’t have much tuna. The eel rice bowl tastes good. The price does not quite live up to the quality of the food compared to the other parts of Kyoto but it makes sense as the place is next to a tourist attraction. The staff are nice and understands English quite well though. An OK place to rest and have a...
