One of the highlights of our vacation was discovering this wonderful Sesame Crepe Shop located in the Sanjo Shopping Arcade near the Nijo Castle. We loved the crepes so much that we came by three times during our stay and enjoyed both savory and sweet crepes. Yoko, the owner hand crafts each delicious creation in front of you. Next time we travel from California to Kyoto, one our first stops will be at this shop to see our new friend Yoko and enjoy some tasty treats. We will bring our friends and recommend it to visitors to Kyoto.

What an absolute gem of a spot! This shop grinds sesame by hand for crepes and delicious ice cream. I got the Kyoto veggie crepe for ¥430, and it was delicious. The woman was so friendly and I loved all the famous peoples' signatures on the wall! 🚻 At park across the street 🛝 Playground right across the street!

I wish I could give Roast Sesame Crepe 10 stars! We loved this place so much we went three days in a row! Yoko, the owner, not only makes the best crepes, her smile and friendliness is infectious. We highly recommend you get both a savory crepe and sweet one for dessert. Yoko speaks excellent English so it was a bonus to get to know her and celebrate her 16 year anniversary. Congratulations Yoko and thank you for the wonderful crepes and memories!...

Excellent crepes made by a wonderful lady. We figured out she had been to Wellington in New Zealand by a book on the shelf. We were also from there so we had a great little chat about cafes.

The crepes are really great with a good mix of flavours. She even gives out free sesame tea if you sit in the store, which was an excellent surprise. Highly...
