Worst meal in our 8d Japan trip.

Don’t be fooled by the decent Google score like us. I’m a seasoned traveller to Japan- this is my fifth trip in the past 18 months and the food standards here were the worst.

Manned by 2 young foreigners (nothing against them since I’m also a tourist), who don’t look confident and were unsure of what they were doing when they were preparing the sushis and the outcome was indeed so- the fishes were not fresh, the rice wasn’t flavourful enough and tasted tough, and the fish was placed on top of the fish (not together)- see photo.

It was too late to cancel our orders as my excitement + confidence that it serves at least decent sushi based on Google reviews scores made me order almost one of every sushi.

For the first time ever, I felt like I wasted my money and stomach space.

Note: we went in at around 240pm and were starving, yet...

Among the restaurants I visited during my trip to Japan, this was the worst one. I stopped by this place with my family around lunchtime yesterday and was very disappointed. First, the staff did not offer us wet wipes and water. Second, the person cooking the food coughed several times without wearing a mask. Third, the quality of the sea urchin and salmon roe was not as good as shown in the menu pictures. In contrast, they immediately gave wet wipes and water to two foreigners and one Japanese person who came later, showing biased treatment. We left some of food and I do not recommend this place. I don't understand why the...

Great restaurant !

We randomly walked into this restaurant located in Nishiki Market and it is a well-lighted counter with a few places to sit.

The minimum number of tuna pieces is six (6) but it is not enough because it is so good. Different styles were presented and the owner took the time to explain the best eating experience. This was the single-best tuna we have eaten in Japan, melting good, the real stuff.

I do not understand the one-sided negative reviews and I noticed the majority of negative reviews came from reviewers with only 1-2 reviews?

Seems they are being attacked...
