Teppan Dining L’ajitto — Restaurant in Kyoto

Came here twice for lunch and dinner on the same day. For lunch we ordered from the set menu (i.e. main dish + rice, miso soup, salad, tea/coffee, and dessert, which at the time was french toast). We had the hamburger steak, miyazaki sirloin steak, and the oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowl). The steaks were very soft and everything tasted great. For dinner we had the teppanyaki set for ¥12,000 per person (which is the 3rd cheapest out of 4 set options). It may seem a bit pricey but you do get what you pay for. By the time we finished eating we were exceedingly full, so do come with an empty stomach. Way over rated. If we could give it zero stars we would. We reserved and confirmed cook top counter seats and got a table instead, which honestly is the entire draw to this restaurant. A headen gem in Kyoto, genuinely one of the best Mayazaki steaks I have had. Cooked perfectly in front of you, I recommend sitting in front with the Chef, and getting the Miyazaki Fillet is a must and a close second is the Miyazaki Sirloin.
