A Hidden Gem of a Sushi Restaurant – A Truly Heartwarming Experience

During a recent early evening out, we stumbled upon a small, unassuming sushi restaurant—and what followed was nothing short of a wonderful experience that left a lasting impression on all of us.

From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles, and there was an immediate sense of ease and familiarity. It quickly became clear that this was a family-run establishment, and that familial charm gave the whole place a special, cozy character that’s rare to find nowadays.

The service throughout the evening was attentive, friendly, and full of heartfelt hospitality. It made us feel like guests in their home rather than customers in a restaurant, which made the evening all the more enjoyable.

As for the food—simply incredible. We had the pleasure of watching the sushi being prepared right in front of us, and you could truly see the love and passion poured into every detail. Each piece was crafted with care and precision, and the quality of the ingredients was top-notch. The flavors were clean, fresh, and deeply satisfying—every bite felt like a small celebration of the art of sushi.

What stood out the most, however, was the personal touch that carried through the entire experience. My friends and I were looking for a place to shelter from the rain and eat after exploring Nishiki market. We came here and ordered the curry dipping noodles, grilled salmon, sushi platter and sea urchin sushi. We also got a bottle of warm sake. The curry dipping noodles were excellent. The curry is full of flavor and the noodles cooked to perfection. My friend was disappointed with the grilled salmon, as it was rather dry, as well as the sea urchin, which, while decent, was lacking in characteristic sea urchin strong flavours. My other friend was very pleased with her sushi platter, which was very fresh, and we enjoyed the hot sake very much, especially since it was served in a warming pot. A hidden gem! This restaurant is quite small, but super cozy and nicely decorated! it isn’t fancy but the food speaks for itself! There was only one friendly waitress and the forthcoming and professional Sushi chef. The waitress spoke English well. Each dish was prepared with a lot of care and presented beautifully. We had a small sushi plate with amazingly fresh Uni, a salad with assorted sashimi and some curry noodles. Every single dish was exceptionally good!
