Wadaya cafe — Restaurant in Kyoto

Today, I went for a coffee and egg&ham sandwich at Wadaya Café, which is run by two very friendly twin sisters. The sandwich was larger than Japanese standards with water melon, salad and fruit yoghurt as side dish. I added a blend coffee in the typical set (¥ 1250). The Café is rather small with 5 seats at the counter and a rectangular table for about 8 persons. I went there before for lunch and the daily lunch set is also very tasty. This was an amazing breakfast! Tiny little unassuming place mixed in with a line of homes. The staff was very kind and welcoming. The presentation of the food was very pretty, and we enjoyed the little Koala cracker touches to the coffee drinks and French toast dish. I ordered the cafe chocolate which was the best mocha I’ve ever had. Cash only. Definitely recommend this restaurant...

We were walking down the street and saw it on a map and decided to try it out. It was a bit of a random find. However, the interior was well-ventilated, the owners were friendly, and they had really good, delicious brewed coffee! We didn't go for a meal, but I definitely want to try it again!
