Thankfully we walked in without checkin the google reviews if not we may not have done so. With a strong craving for matcha jelly, we chanced upon this place while walking due to the display of all sorts of parfaits which look just so pretty and inviting.
We got a seat on the 2nd level and the ordering process was pretty seamless. I ordered the classic ice cream with matcha jelly and mochie while my partner had their chocolate mint ice cream parfait. It took quite a while (15mins-20mins) before our items came which was an okay waiting time imo considering the fact that the entire level 2 was filled (only downside was that it was a little noisy).
I really enjoyed my parfait which was just simple without contrasting taste hence everything blended super well with every mouthful. Im a sucker for classic items when it comes to desserts. I would have came back again the next day if i werent leaving early morning.
They also have an extensive menu of items for you to choose from so im sure there is something sweet for everyone with every kind of taste buds (unless you hate sweets)!

Read moreI think we had a bad day where the one employee was quite rude to us.
There were no lines, and we got the table quickly. They were still too quick to explain how to order, and when I tried to read the ordering explanation, the explanation was so small and in penmanship, so I couldn't understand it. When ordering, the waiter was clearly agitated and demanded the number of the order rudely. We tried to ask if they had cafe latte, but he didn't comply. He also forcefully cleaned tables, and something was not right. We just wanted to go at this point.
When we had the parfait, it was plain in taste, the sauce was cheap by taste, and the chocolate ice cream in one parfait was bitter. The "banana parfait" had a banana only 5-6 pieces and not anything else banana like. It was only plain vanilla ice cream with some sauce and banana slices. Also, you can only order something once per person.
To us, it's a bad experience overall. Cremia ice cream beats whatever this service and taste...
Read moreThis place is large (and well-deservedly) known for its humongous selection of parfait ice creams. Chocolate, Matcha, Fruit, whatever's your persuasion, you will find something to make you happy here.
That being said, this café makes a very particular excellent type of ice coffee that I have not seen in any other café in Kyoto thus far. It is listed in the menu as a "Danish Ice Coffee" and is served with ice cubes in a chilled copper mug.
That coffee is a drip-type cold brew that literally takes hours to produce - the machines making it are in the background of the waiting area at the entrance, easily ignored. The coffee has a mild, but pronounced flavor and almost no bitterness at all. If you normally drink your coffee black, I'd recommend to try this one without adding any...
