Funny experience;one that we enjoyed. We enjoyed our meal. Thanks for allowing us join in the cooking! Reasonable prices but you pay with cash only as of when we visited. In a good location;by the way to or the end of the philosopher’s path depending on where you start.
Staff and service: Staff were amazing and service was fast. One thing that I will point out is cleanliness. It’s nice to clean the deck of the ones that finished eating to make space for others coming in, but don’t use the same hand to continue cooking for the next table. You can wash your hands or use gloves and also pay attention to your shoes.
FYI -Water is free but their caution is not to come in to fill your water bottle with their water but to take the water needed to enjoy your meal if you have to(we didn’t take water)
Won’t mind coming back when...
Read moreThe shop is a joke for foreigners who don't know Japan. The waitress can still try to speak english or french, there's no problem in that, but only if the person can't speak japanese well or at all, not when all people speak in fluent japanese and she'd still reply in foreign language. The prices don't reflect the quality of food. It's also my first time seeing that mayonnaise is an additional topping. You can't even have the possibility to control your cooking time, which is a big NO I don't recommand this shop for people who want to taste authentic...
Read moreJust have to try this place and food - okonomiyaki - a must to make our food venture complete. We like the meal because it's unhurried. We had the seafood pancake. The wait staff came with batter and seafood and mixed it at our table (the top is a hot plate) and she cooked it right in front of us, giving clear instructions on the waiting time in minutes before she comes back for the next steps. Customers add sauce, condiments, and seaweed on their own to taste
Visit this place when starting or ending the philosophers' walk...no need to...
