Fisherman's Kaisendon — Restaurant in Matsushima

We had lunch on November 25, 2024, arriving around 10:45 AM and securing the first spot in the queue. By 10:55 AM, the line had grown significantly.

We ordered the oysters set (grilled oysters don, two deep-fried oysters, and two fresh oysters), the deep-fried shrimp set ( 3 giant pcs), the deep-fried squid set (2 big pcs of squid and 3 deep-fried oysters), and an extra plate of deep-fried oysters (6 pcs). During my visit to Matsushima, I tried a restaurant run by a lovely couple. They specialize in sushi bowls, and we had to wait about 25 minutes in line, which is a good sign of its popularity. The food quality was decent. The service was exceptional; the lady greeted us with warm smiles and made us feel welcome throughout our meal. Great place for fresh, delicious kaisendon. Fish was soft and very tender. Fried oyster was also very delicious. Depending on the time of day, there can be a wait. We waited for about 45 minutes at 1:30. All dishes are very delicious. Even had the pork dish which was great. No parking at the restaurant but parking is very close by.
