Delicious gyutan and ox tail soup, and friendly service (surprised at the level of English!). Some of the other comments had me worried that I'd get charged some weird gaijin price, but it's just the seating fee (and taxes) that you pay if you order alcohol. Want to pay exactly what you see on the menu? Then don't order alcohol!

I ordered the kiwami (premium) beef tongue set, which came with 5 pieces of really thick cut beef tongue. For those who might not be used to the texture of beef tongue, just get the regular cut. They are still as tasty but less chewy and meaty than the kiwami beef tongue.

I enjoyed a ‘Spencer’ beer of 5 special beer varieties. Not wanting thick tongue of the many confusing set meals, I opted to try tongue hamburger (with rice and salad) for 900Y - mild nondescript taste with slightly disturbing texture. Milady enjoyed her sashimi of octopus, white fish and salmon. A pleasant place to linger before or after the nearby 50 minute boat trip.

I was really looking forward to this meal as beef tongue is Sendai's famous dish. However, it was disappointing. I've had a better tongue at Yakiniku restaurant outside of Sendai. The stew and hanburg were not that great either. I can not recommend this place for food.

I crossed my to-eat checklist local craft beer Miyagi — kinbou no oka and “gyutoungue” 🥹 la soupe de queue de bœuf is naturally clear and tasty ✨ the beer I selected (limit in menu , some are not available… ) go well with fried 🦪 oysters rather than gyutongue 🤣

Decent Gyutan, but compared to some of the ones in Sendai, they are pretty tough and not as juicy. Place was quiet after lunch. Good for a refuelling if you've been walking around the entire day though!
