Gomitori Sakaemachiten — Restaurant in Nagoya

We went here because there was a big Oni face on the front and I thought that was cool.

The staff were very friendly and provided an English menu but my partner said, ‘I’m Japanese’ and we had a good laugh but I still needed the English menu because I am not Japanese. So it was good.

I wanted chicken wings, but they just serve a few on a plate but in the counter there was a big display bowl of wings and I wanted that.

We ordered chicken, it tasted okay and some often - Nagoya Miso Oden! - defined get that! It is really good.

I also got pork skewers with miso brown sauce on it and it was very tasty. But everything comes with loads of mustard at the side of the plate, I was trying to be cool and eat loads of mustard to impress the floozy who was with me but she didn’t even notice and just laughed when it burnt the inside of my nose.

Unsatisfactory. There is an additional 10% service charge for late-night dining. The appetizer costs 400 yen per person. At the same time, the taste of the dishes is quite normal. Their services are great and offer English menu. A very chill atmosphere with good music. The Yakitori (I ordered a set of 5) was delicious, the chicken maintaining its crisp on the outside but inside is so tender. The yakisoba is great too - and everything goes really well some beer.
