What's particularly noteworthy about Y Market is the unexpectedly high quality of their food. It surpasses the typical expectations for a beer-focused establishment. While the standard menu items are good, the daily specials are consistently impressive and well worth exploring.

Some of the best beer in Nagoya (and Japan) can be found in these walls. If you're into beer, this is a must stop. The space is warm, welcoming and usually filled with jovial folks in the evening. The outside patio is a nice treating the weather permits. There's lots of beer styles to choose from. Some brewed in house and a few guest taps. Over the course of a few hours we had six and each one was delicious. The stouts especially stole my heart. The food is perfect for bar snacks, but I wouldn't recommend making a meal here. Bring some friends - or make new ones there - and enjoy.

Some of the best beer in Nagoya (and Japan) can be found in these walls. If you're into beer, this is a must stop. The space is warm, welcoming and usually filled with jovial folks in the evening. Great beers, nice location. The IPA styles are amazing. The service is generally good, however staff turnover is fast, so don't bother learning names, as they won't be there next time. Food is good, but better at the Gifu branch (called Yell-Ale). Closes early, so don't bother turning up after 9.30pm, as staff will hassle you to leave at about 10pm. They have a really annoying habit of dipping the glass in water before pouring the pint. I'm really hoping that water is clean... But yes great beers. Ding them one star for prices plus tax as listed prices in Japan should include tax, also terrible choice in music (who the hell plays live albums in a restaurant?), also as usual in Japan short measures however if you tell them they usually get it right next time. No credit cards should get get another ding, but the...
