This small izakaya was the highlight of our Nara trip. The restaurant is a combination of French and Japanese cuisine, and they have the best of both. Wide variety of local sake with local vegetables and deer meat, together wide a great selection of French wine, French cheese and great bread. The place was also featured in Michelin Bib Gourmand for Nara prefecture. The owner is very polite, professional and friendly. Such a delicious meal! We enjoyed amazing sashimi, grilled beef, vegetable tempura and rice, as well as the chef's recommended Sake. All the food was tasty and beautifully presented. The sashimi was a highlight for me! The menu isn't in English, but we used Google translate and were also helped by the very friendly chef.
