After walking around Nara we were looking for a place to hit up a late lunch. Aside from take out windows this was one of the few places that were open at 3:30 pm. The calm relaxing atmosphere was nice after the crowds at Nara park. My from scratch made-to-order pork katsu sandwich and salad was delicious ($15). From the street, this cafe looked so quaint and lovely. My friend and I just had to go in! However, I wish we hadn't... No one said, "Irrashaimase" or asked us how many people were in our party. The woman working came over and cleared off a table for us quietly after we had waited a few minutes, and she didn't say a word. Then when she came to get our order and we said we weren't ready, she gave us an annoyed look. A pretty little cafe (actally quite large for Japanese standards) in Nara. Please try it, I'm sure you won't regret it. The food is delicious and beautiful served. Everyone will find something nice. Even if you're tired of Japanese food (like me) you can try a burger or a delicious butter chicken(with Japanese rice) served with a salad, and a large iced tea(or coffee otlr hot tea).
